watch... becoming active in the studies taking place.
The bottlenose dolphin is the most familiar to all
the cetaceans, and is resident all year round
in the Moray Firth. Other locations around the UK, including off
the Cornish coast, the west coast of Scotland and the Shetland Islands
are now being found to be good areas for dolphin watching.
In the Moray Firth we have the opportunity to see the dolphins sharing
the water with the smaller harbour porpoises and other species from time
to time, including, minke whales, white sided dolphins and even orcas.
We hope this guide helps you to see and recognise some
or all of these stunning creatures.
